Abstract

The research aims to view the Spiritual Guidance given to Catholic Prisoners at Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Narkotika Kelas IIA Samarinda by the Catholic Church. The research was conducted at Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Narkotika Kelas IIA Samarinda using qualitative descriptive methods and the data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, documentation and document study. The informants in this study were eight subjects. Based on the research results, the researcher found that the Catholic Prisoners at Lapas Narkotika Kelas IIA Samarinda did not get routine Spiritual Guidance from the Catholic Church. The Spiritual Guidance for Catholic Prisoners is carried by the Protestant Church. The Catholic Church so far has never done Spiritual Guidance for the Catholic Prisoners at Lapas Narkotika. The Catholic Prisoners have only received Catholic Spiritual Guidance conducted by STKPK Bina Insan Samarinda in the form of Liturgy of the Word and by doctor Videlia Rosy Pakonglean in the form of Devotion to St. Mary.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is: Finding the meaning of land according to the Dayak Bahau Busaang and comparing it to the meaning of land according to the view of the Catholic Church in terms of Environmental Theology. Then making a reflective review of the meaning of land from the perspectives of the two entities as a rationale for environmental catechesis related to land, specifically on the environmental catechesis in the parish of Santa Maria Long Hubung.This research was conducted in the village of Long Hubung Ulu, Long Hubung District, Mahakam Ulu Regency using a descriptive qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used are in-depth interviews and secondary data collection and informants is this study were twelve informants. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that the Dayak Bahau Busaang Long Hubung Ulu and the Catholic Church have similarities in interpreting land because they both contain physical, social and religious aspects in their perspectives that illustrate the relationship between all creatures and the Creator and a symbol of hereditary interaction with the environment.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to describe the implementation, the challenges, and the strategy of the Diaconia Caritative that has been implement in the social and religious activities, and to analyze the four elements in SWOT Analysis of the implementation of this program in order to discover the new description of strategy of the said program. This research uses the qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis method. The data gathering method that is being used is through field observation, interview and photograph documentation. The result of the research data is program shows the challenges and the strategy to overcome the challenges. The result of the SWOT analysis shows the tendency of formulating two new strategies. The first is the strategy SO and the second strategy is WO.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to find whether the environmental educations in River School of Sungai Karang Mumus, named SeSuKaMu, meets the standard of sustainable environmental education, and it could be the reference for environmental catechesis. The result shows that SeSuKaMu has grew in sustainable environmental education standard, although they still have to raising more in implementation. Environmental education for sustainability elements consist of more future–oriented, critical of the pre-dominant market and consumption driven society, sensitive to context, more systematic in dealing with complexity, more community and solidarity-oriented, less concerned with product, more concerned with process (creating the right conditions for social learning), more open to new ways of thinking and doing, and preoccupied with linking social, economic and environmental equity at the local, regional and global levels. The elements could be find in SeSuKaMu, although they are still in small-growing level. As the conclusion, the sustainability orientation of SeSuKaMu could give the inspiration and be the reference for catechetical program based on Catholic theology.

Abstract

The main mission of Christ is to proclaim the kingdom of God. The church that follows Jesus Christ continues Christ's mission, which is to proclaim the Kingdom of God. Church life in the movement of the kingdom of God contains futurist and presentist eschatological values. The Church has many dimensions with different understandings of the eschatological character of the Church. In accordance with the vision of the East Kalimantan Church of the Archdiocese of Samarinda, namely the Church following Jesus Christ presents the Kingdom of God both outwardly and inwardly '' with the pressure of the Church's outward movement, it can be concluded that the East Kalimantan Church adheres to the Church model as a servant or servant. The church is called to uphold justice and foster brotherhood in this world and it will be perfected in the kingdom of God.
